• Method

Method Step

Description: Species were counted and sponge's volume and surface were measured.

Sampling

Study Extent: Samples were collected from one location at the coast of Cyprus and one location at the coast of Chalkidiki (Greece). Samples were collected at single time points.

Sampling Description: Samples were collected by scuba divers. Each sponge was covered with a plastic bag and was detached from the substrate with a knife. Once ashore, in every sample formalin was added to final concentration 5% and the samples were stored in larger boxes.
